Obituary for Dorothy Lehman

Dorothy I. Lehman, 94, of Hellam Township died peacefully, Tuesday, February 6, 2018. Dorothy was the loving wife of the late Harry J. “Jakey” Lehman; he died July 25, 2004.

Born in Marietta on November 26, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Missouri I. (Dellinger) Keller.

Dorothy worked as a clerk for the US Postal Service. She was a member of Fairmount United Methodist Church. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, flowers, and traveling.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Gary E. Lehman of York and Larry L. Lehman of Mapleton Depot and her sisters, Anna Mary Brenner, Gloria Maxwell, and Jean Myers. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Harvey Keller, Harry Keller, Pauline Smuck, and Shirley Moore.

A funeral service to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 700 Hellam Street, Wrightsville, with Pastor Eddie Hutcheson, her pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, there will be no public viewing, however the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fairmount United Methodist Church, 5835 Furnace Road, York, PA 17406.
