Obituary for Curvin Kraft
Curvin T. Kraft, 73, died on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at his residence. He was the husband of Josephine B. (Alfano) Kraft. The couple was united in marriage on August 12, 1972, sharing 45 years together.
Curvin was born in York County on November 12, 1944, son of the late Curvin W. and Geraldine V. (Kauffman) Kraft.
He graduated from Red Lion High School, Class of 1962 and was a member of the high school football team. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He drove truck for Tioga Textile, Borg-Warner, Yorktowne Kitchen and retired in 2011 from Walmart trucking. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking and helping others. Curvin was a member of Free and Accepted Masons Red Lion Lodge #649.
In addition to his wife, Curvin is survived by three daughters, Tamara J. Estep and her husband, Shannon of York, Tana J. Cox and her husband, Ethan of Springfield, OH, and Maria N. Fry and her husband, John of York; seven grandchildren, Zachary Spyker of OH, Nicholas Spyker and his fiancée, Mio Kitano of TX, Lauren Hiddleson and her husband, Caleb of OH, Kayle Fry and his wife, Kassi of York, Michael Fry of York, Conner Cox of OH, and Catie Cox of OH; a great granddaughter, Gabriella; a cousin, Dennis Schmuck and his wife, Janice of Elizabethtown; and numerous extended family members and close friends.
A funeral service will be held Monday, February 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York, with the Rev. Tricia McMackin officiating. There will be a viewing on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Holy Saviour Cemetery with graveside military rites conducted by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
