Obituary for Paul Smith
Paul Lee Smith, 74, of York died peacefully Friday, November 17, 2017 at the York Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Dallastown on November 25, 1942, he was the son of the late Ivan G. and Maize (Schmuck) Smith. Paul was the loving husband of 47 years to Evelyn Mae (Keefer) Smith.
Paul was a senior craftsman at York Wallcoverings for 37 years until his retirement. He was known at York Wallcoverings for mixing perfect shades of colors by eyeing them and not using any computer input.
Paul was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in York. He loved spending time with family and working on his many antique cars.
In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his son, Thomas Smith and his wife, Kim of York, his daughters, Paula Kenney and her husband, Scott of York and Ginger Gibbs and her husband, Chad of York. He is also survived by his six beloved grandchildren, Alyssa, Tyler, Brandon, Jamie, Kevin, and Brett.
A funeral service to celebrate Paul’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 East Market Street, York with Pastor John Bell officiating. Entombment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
