Obituary for Glenn "Punch" Beaverson
Glenn “Punch” Beaverson, 89, died on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at York Hospital.
He was the husband of Nadine (Meshey) Beaverson. The couple was united in marriage on July 28, 1951, celebrating 66 years together.
Glenn was born in Lower Windsor Township on January 23, 1928, son of the late Alvin Beaverson and Minnie (Reichard) Beaverson Fillmore.
Glenn was a born again Christian. He attended a one room school house at Cabbage Hill. He then went to work for Allen Kise Paving Contractor and retired from Wilton Armatel after 24 years of service. He was a member of the Craley Fire Company and Canadochly Ambulance Club. He enjoyed doing outside yard work and repairing lawn equipment. He was happiest on his mower or with his weed eater, even helping his neighbors with their yard work. He was a Mr. Fix It for everyone’s problems. He loved his family very much and spending time with them.
In addition to his wife, Glenn is survived by seven children, Linda Wile and her husband, Ron of Hellam, Brenda Boyd and her husband, Bob of Wrightsville, Glenda Englehart and her husband, Ed of Elizabethtown, Butch Beaverson of Hellam, Roy Beaverson and his wife, Darlene of Hellam, C. Thomas Beaverson and his wife, Beth of Hellam, and Tracy Keener and her husband, Gene Beaston of Marietta; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Graham and three sisters, Tressa Lentz, Kathryn Young, and Joyce Snyder.
Following cremation, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
