Mark S. Trone, 57, entered into rest on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at his residence.
He was the longtime companion of Caroline Backel of York. The couple shared 12 years together.
Mark was born in York on September 1, 1959, son of Doris R. (Dart) Trone of York and the late Ronald D. Trone.
He was formerly employed with Kinsley and Re-Con where he did heavy highway construction and concrete work. He most recently worked for Shiloh Paving as a driver. Mark was a member of the Shiloh American Legion Post 791, West York VFW 8951, Rooster Social Club, 12th Ward Club, and Eagle’s of Ocean View, Delaware. He loved riding his Harley and being at the beach. Mark also enjoyed fishing and NASCAR.
In addition to his companion and mother, Mark is survived by three sons, Mark S. Trone, II, Kevin Trone, and Eric Trone, all of York; a granddaughter; and three siblings.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York, with the Rev. Dr. Eddie D.D. Miller officiating. There will be a viewing on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery.
